About us
Hi, my name is Michael Zettergren and I'm the director of Adventure Lovers. My experience of climbing is rock climbing in Sweden and alpine climbing in the Alps and the Himalayas. Our ambition is that our clients should feel completely taken care of from the first moment until we touch ground again back home. We put a great value in your safety both for trekkers and climbers. The guides and staff we are working together with in the Himalaya are all very experienced.
Welcome to the adventure of your life.
Trekking
Our treks are carefully handpicked to suit most of you. We are trekking 4-6 hours/day and a few days our treks will be 6-8 hours/day.
For those of you choosing Mount Everest Base camp trek, both the trekking-and climbing group fly out together to Lukla and accompany each other until we summit Kala Pathar there we will be separated.
Mountain climbing expeditions
People with a more adventurous mind, will choose a climbing expedition. We have several different so-called trekking peaks, which offer you great excitement and a higher physical challenge. Trekking Peak doesn’t mean that we trek up the mountain, it stand for with Himalaya comparison a more moderate height of the peaks. The mountains we offer you to climb are all above 6000 meters, which can only be found at a few places outside the Himalaya region. We will use ice axes and crampons. Fixed rope will be placed were it is needed for your highest safety.Culture and amazing nature
Adventure Lovers are trekking into the Sherpa’s own world, Khumbu valley. We are passing through Namche Bazaar, which is the biggest village for Sherpa's. Meet their incredible generosity and their always-smiling faces. During our treks you will be astonished by everything from the small picturesque villages, the beautiful rhododendron forests and the most grandiose of all, the mountains in the Himalayas. The Teahouses/lodges are carefully handpicked from long experience to offer you a good quality standard both for sleep and food. Enjoy the heat from the iron stove in the lodge’s dinner room after your three-course meal. In there we also have plenty of time to plan the next day and meet new friends.
We stay in Kathmandu an extra day for you to adapt to the time difference and also to offer a sightseeing tour there you will visit both Nepal’s biggest Stupa and a Buddhist monastery and after that a Hindu temple. There should also be time for shopping and completion of gear for those of you who need to gear up. Gore-Tex clothes and insulate jackets can be found to good prices and decent quality even if it isn’t comparable to the one in Europe or the US.
Small Groups
Our company travel in small groups with no more than 10 persons in each, so that we can offer you the highest service level. All the Sherpa’s and porters we work together with comes from the higher regions of Himalaya. Without these incredible people and their support it is almost impossible to make it up to high altitude. This fact makes us to care of our staff and we put a lot of effort for them feel good in our travel company. Our porters and Sherpa’s are wearing high standard equipment. They don’t carry those heavy packs as you see porters on the trek do, sometimes above 50 kg on their back. Our porters do not carry more than 25 kg maximum.
