Combination climb, Mera Peak & Island Peak 2010
I did this trip with Adventure Lovers Fall 2010. I wanted to give myself a real challenge anf therefore I booked a combination where we started off with Mera Peak. The trek into Base Camp going through the remote Hinku valley, which was a great experience. We climbed Mera Peak after a well planned acclimatization and everybody felt great on the summit almost at 6500 meter. We had an incredible view 360 degress around with five out of the six highest peaks in the world.
We continued over the high and spectacular Amphu Laptsa pass where we reached Island Peak Base Camp on the other side into the Khumbu valley. Island Peak is steeper than mera but not as such a long glacier climb. The last part we forced the famous "Wall" and at last the narrow rridge leading up to the summit gave us a really great adventurous feeling.
The trip offered plenty of good food, friendly and very skilled guides and staff. it was also good with a different culture and the lovely Sherpa's.
The mountain and the nature was the best with this trip.
The staff looked after us the whole time and we felt spoiled by them.

Climbing Combination Mera Peak and Island Peak 2011

I didn't have any previous experience of wilderness life before my trip to Nepal. Before I went down there I could only imagine what he would be like. To my relief and great happiness, this trip is one of the best adventures I ever experienced.
The views and the nature is impossible to describe, it has to be lived down there!
My plan was to climb both Mera peak and Island Peak through the Amphu Laptsa Pass. Unfortunately I got sick from a flu I had with me from sweden. My very skilled guide gave the recommendation to give up my climbing to get back to Kathmandu to visit a hospital and get well again.
It was really sad to leave the team, but I got better quickly down in kathmandu and could explore Katmandu and the villages surroing the city.
In Kathmandu I meet other guides from the company and they looked after me in the best way. The rest of my time in Nepal was a pure pleasure. I say Pokhara, we did rock climbing almost every day. The staff spoiled me with coffe shops and restaurants every day. I had a great time despite I got sick and have already booked my next trip with Adventure Lovers to the Himalayas, Spring 2012. I miss Nepal a lot and can't wait to get back.
Finally I want to thank everyone who has supported me on this trip, all the lovely guides and Micke in sweden. You all showed me a world I didn't know excisted, thanks!!

Mount Everest Basecamp with Gokyo lakes, October 2011

Like many others my interest ironically enough for Himalaya started after reading books about dangerous climbs, like Jon Krakauer's "Into thin air". I have to admit that going to the Himalayas has always felt distanced and hard to actually do it for real.
Until I found the website www.adventurelovers.se. The impossible suddenly became possible and not as hard to do as I first thought. 30 minutes after I had emailed to

with many questions about trekking in Nepal, I had the answers on all my questions from Micke Zettergren.
A few months later I was welcomed on Kathmandu's Inernational airport by one of the guides and my adventure started. I trekked to Mt Everest BC with the tour via the Gokyo lakes, a trip I warmly recommend. To do the circuit through Gokyo is not only giving you some extra perspective on the scenic lakes. Also, as you going in one way and out another to do the circle, you see a lot more than doing only the normal route to Everest BC. It is also less crowded on this trek, which I thought was an advantage.
Despite that the trip is hard at some places and because of the high altitude, it is an exceptional trip. The whole trip is surrounded by scenic views and white giants like Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Pumori, Cho Oyu and of course Everest.
To trek in Nepal is a magnificent experience. Hard times in the thin air is rewarded with euphoric moments, like when you are on the top of Kala Pathar.
at 5545m, with an incredible view over Everest. Not to forget is the warm Nepalese culture and the smiling people - the Sherpas.
To trek with Adventure Lovers was a pleasure as they are very organized and that created a safety feeling in the group. When you are trekking with a good organized company they also look after their porters in a much better way, we understood. That was one import thing to me at least as I understood that the porters life can be very hard and I know Micke is working hard to make sure that the conditions for the staff is on a high level, appreciated.

Ama Dablam climbing expedition 2010
This was my second trip with Adventure Lovers to Nepal and the Himalayas. This time it was Ama Dablam as my goal. Dream of my dreams.
I chosed Adventure Lovers to arrange my trip because everything worked out perfect the first time and I wanted experienced and skilled guides on the mountain. This time was no exception and everything, and I really mean everything worked perfect.
The climb was fantastic and I can highly recommend this mountain if you have the technics, the physics and the experience needed here.
It is a breathtaking, fun climb where you get the whole package, rock climbing and steep ice- and snow climbing.
To climb Ama Dablam is a real adventure!

Cho Oyu, 8201m Fall 2010
I joined Adventure Lovers to climb Cho Oyu, 8201 meter. the safety is very importing to me and the guides who joined us on the climb had both climbed Everest and Cho Oyu together with a lot of others, so they were all very experienced.
Fall 2010 was a tough year on Cho Oyu when it came to the weather. it was high risk for avalanges at +7500, That forced us unfortunately together with every other teams to give up and interupt our expedition this time.
A big plus for guides, the program and the way they looked after our safety and the standard in our Base Camp. the mountain and the expedition was an unbelievable adventure.
I will be back for new challenges

Gokyo lakes trek (Everest Circuit) 2010
Wow what and an adventure we got!!! it was among the hardest thing I ever done, but what a reward afterwards!!!
The high altitude is tough and you need to trek in your pace. the payback and reward is all the beautiful views over the Himalayas, that we brought with us back home. it was a great adventure and a lovely vacationthat we will remeber for the rest of our lives!!!
Thanks for everything to Adventure Lovers and that you let us trek by ourselves liked we wished to do.
Greetings from us!!

Island Peak climbing expedition 2008
This was my first trip to Nepal and my expectations were high. For me the climbing was the most important. We had a couple of nice days in Kathmandu and we did sight seeing and some shopping. Specially some gear shopping for the climb. I think that the trek into Everest BC was awesome and it was terrific to see a different culture than ours. After we had acclimatized at EBC and Kala Pathar we trekked to Island Peak Base Camp and set our camp. We stayed a short night in Advanced Base Camp before we took off for the summit around 2am. We were standing on the top at around 7am and it was a fantastic feeling to feel that I actually could climb such a high mountain. I highly recommend Adventure Lovers as your travel agent.

Mount Everest Summit.

Spring 2011 I summited Mount Everest with Adventure Lovers. An adventure and a dream that was fullfilled, with hard work and a great organization from Adventure Lovers and their professional partner in Nepal.
We had a great acclimatizan schedule and after been up to Camp 3, we trekked all the way down to Pangboche to stay there a couple days to eat and drink properly and to breath thicker air.
We were ready we we went back up to Base Camp. We waited for a weather window and took the chance to push on when the weather gave us a chance. Our first attempt failed, because of extreme strong winds above Camp 3, we climbed down to base Camp. We rested, focused adn when we got the next chance, the full group managed to top out Everest. it was so unbelievable fantastic and a memory for the rest of my life.
If you really want to climb Everest, it takes hard work and training, you need to be mentally tough, bit it is also very important with a good organization helping you and pushing you with strong well educated mountain guides. Adventure Lovers stand for all that.
I have also been on Cho Oyu earlier with the same company.

Lobuche Climbing expedition 2010
The best travel experience ever! To get close to the highest and probably steepest mountains in the world together with wonderful people and very professional guides gave me memories for life. I would really like to do a similar trip again with the same company.

Climbing combination Mera Peak and Island Peak 2009

This was my first trip to the Himalayas and I was looking for a really good trek, the climbing was more of a bonus for me. The trek offered mixed scenic nature because it is quite a difference depending on what altitude. The pass over Amphu Laptsa and summiting the two mountains are experiences that is hard to put words on. It was just more than awesome. I was really well looked after from day one. I am used to trek in Sweden and Norway and you are looking after yourself all the time. In Nepal they spoil you with tea in the and the food is on the table when you arrive for each meal. the guiding was perfect and the planning and organization was well prepared.
Don't forget to take a lot of photos, even when you are tired.

Mera Peak Climbing expedition 2008
I did the Mera Peak expedition with Adventure Lovers. We had an awesome time up in the Himalayas and the remote Hinku valley was a great experience. The cook team made us superb food every day and the prep's for the climb was well organized. We managed to summit Mera Peak and the views from the summit was more breathtaking than anything I've seen before. Thank You to the team made this possible.

Annapurna Circuit 2009
Annapurna Circuit is offering fantastic scenic views and big variations. The people are lovely and really helpful. To trek with Adventure Lovers is simple not saying you will miss challenges. Take the chance to go to the meeting about high altitude in Manang, Himalayan Rescue Assiciation are organizers. An adventure only to go to the meeting. You can actualy go to the movies in Manang, do that if you are looking for something different;) The lenght of the trek is perfect and the program offers an extra acclimatization day if you feel that you need that or just relaxing for a day. I hope I will be able to return one day, maybe already to the Spring to see the flowers of the rhododendron.

Climbing combination Lobuche Peak and Island Peak 2009
My dream became reality fall 2009. I joined Adventure Lovers to Nepal and visited Everest Base Camp and climbed Island Peak and Lobuche East. That is one of the best things I ever done. A wonderful nature with giant white tops surrounding you and the incredible Sherpas living in the Khumbu valley.
The trip with Adventure Lovers worked fantastic with professional and easy to laugh guides, helping you with just everything you need and.
The guides are skilled and very professional and that made the climbing feel safe and secured even when be had exposed climbing. The organization feels very strong and serious and I didn't miss anything during the whole trip.
I would like to push extra for the acclimatization plan, it was well organised and accurate planned.
I never felt stressed and that is important to me, you can relax and enjoy the mountains and the trek.
I experienced a fantastic nature with sun rises and sun sets, beatuiful mountains, friendly people, magnificent villages along the road and beautiful green glacier lakes.
One great thing was to look at the black sky in the nights full of stars, awesome
An adventure that I never will forget.
The only negative thing is that you already want to go back to Nepal again, but maybe that is not negative;)
Thanks for an unforgetable experience!

Climbing combination Lobuche Peak and Island Peak 2009
I picked this combo to get the chance to do something more than just Island Peak. I can really recommend the combination because Island Peak is a bit easier and was a good preparation to Lobuche which is more exposed and different climbers there.
I have only positive things to say both about the Nepalese and the Swedish part of Adventure Lovers. Everything worked just perfect.
I think everthing was well organized by Adventure Lovers, with big flexibility.
Otherwise i can only stress that if you haven't been to the Himalayas before, don't hesitate to go. it will fulfill all your expectations and more to it.

Combination climbing, Lobuche East & Island Peak 2011
I had a fantastic experience with Adventure Lovers in Himalaya.
before the trip I received great tips on what kind of equipment I needed, what the weather is like, costs in different sitations etc.
Our guide helped me in Kathamndu to make a good buy on a down jacket and a sleeping bag.
Our guide was really experienced and his english was strong, which made us to easily understand the local culture. The rest of the team were also very nice and helpful which made the whole expedition easy going, joyful and we laughed a lot.
Except the climbing was the highligt to actually be able to stay two night in Everest Base Camp with the Adventure Lovers Everest expedition. We were welcomed with open arms and the food in the camp was the absolutely best during the trip. To sleep in a tent in EBC and the Khumbu glacier and hear the avalanges roaring in distance somewhere out there was a very special feeling.
I can highly recommend to go with Adventure Lovers!

Everest Circuit trek with Gokyo lakes 2011
I can really recommend this trek with Adventure Lovers.
It is good from many perspecitves. You will be able to see a wonderful nature with much higher mountains that I was used to, you will meast new people and you understand how good everything is here in Sweden. despite I was eating a lot, I lost 3 kg!
You will have plenty of time to think and reflect on life when you fighting up and (down) the hills.
Do some exercise at home and go! Remember this is a trek, not a climb that might scare you. If you are thinking of going to Everest Base Camp, you must do the trek around the Gokyo lakes and the Cho la pass.
