Island Peak climbing expedition
This climbing expedition is a popular travel adventure. It starts with an acclimatization trek to Everest Base camp and Kala Pathar. We will accompany the trekking group who treks to Everest Base camp. Later on we will trek to Chukkung and to Island Peak Base camp or Imja Tse as they say in Nepal. We will stay in Base camp a few days to recover strength and repeat climbing techniques.
It is not necessary for you to have previous alpine climbing experience to manage to summit Island Peak; we consider it to be a big advantage though. Of course it is recommended that you join our pre-trip weekend.
Your physical health should be good to be able to enjoy this mountain climbing expedition in the Nepalese Himalaya. This is a very popular adventure trip for those who want a bit more of adventure. The opportunity to experience Everest Base camp and after that participate in your own climbing expedition is a perfect combination. We will have great views over Makalu, Lhotse and Ama Dablam from the summit of Island Peak.
