"I picked this combo to get the chance to do something more than just Island Peak. I can really recommend the combination because Island Peak is a bit easier and was a good preparation to Lobuche which is more exposed and different climbers there.
I have only positive things to say both about the Nepalese and the Swedish part of Adventure Lovers. Everything worked just perfect..."/Magnus Bredin

"This was my second trip with Adventure Lovers to Nepal and the Himalayas. This time it was Ama Dablam as my goal. Dream of my dreams.
I chosed Adventure Lovers to arrange my trip because everything worked out perfect the first time and I wanted experienced and skilled guides on the mountain. This time was no exception and everything, and I really mean everything worked perfectly..."/Magnus N

Klättring Lobuche

Lobuche Peak & Island Peak Climbing expedition
A tailor made expedition, we established it after a wish from a client. It became a hit and more clients booked this exciting trip. We decided to make this combination climb public to our clients.
You will have the chance to climb both Island Peak and Lobuche Peak during the same expedition, two very attractive summits in the heart of Himalaya and next to Mount Everest herself.
Island Peak, one of the most popular trekking peaks in Himalaya, the mountain teach 6189 meters. We stay in Base camp so you can gain power and we will also repeat climbing techniques. After that we will climb to our Advanced Base camp.
You will start your summit push in the middle of the night and after a couple of hours of scrambling you reach the snowline or crampon point as we also call it. Finally it is time to put on your crampons and start the climb for real. We plan to reach the summit early in the morning for lovely views.
We will climb Lobuche East and the mountain is 61109 meters high. It is technically more advanced than the other trekking peaks. The mountain consists of several summits and our climb along the top ridge towards Lobuche summit will have both step snow- and ice climbing.
We will use the route over the South ridge, where we build our advanced camp in the snow. Our goal is the East summit, it takes deeper alpine climbing knowledge to reach the main summit and we will not traverse over to that one. You should have earlier knowledge about alpine climbing to join this expedition, even if it is not a must.
We recommend you to join our pre- and safety weekend ahead of your trip to the Himalayas starts. You should have good physical health.
You don’t have to have earlier experience on alpine climbing to join these two expeditions but we see it as a plus.
Your physical health needs to be good to be able to enjoy this adventure trip to Himalaya at most. It is a very popular trip for people looking for an exciting adventure. You will have fantastic views over Makalu, Lhotse and Ama Dablam from island Peak and from Lobuche Peak you will have beautiful views over Everest, Nuptse, Pumori and Ama Dablam.
You should be prepared for trekking days of 4-6h trekking and sometimes longer.
