The trip to the Swedish mountains

We will take a minimum of 5 persons and maximum 25 persons. When you go to Bruksvallarna, you will be accommodated as a group and can enjoy Fjällbäckens houses for yourself.

In Bruksvallarna you leave the big city ordinary day filled of stress behind you, for a fantastic long weekend with winter activities and luxurious relaxation, which will help o recharge your batteries for a long time.

We will welcome you with a drink, to be followed of a 3-course dinner, if you arriving late on Thursday the alternative to the dinner will be some kind of snack.  You will have your accommodation in connection to the dinner room. So when you are ready for the bed after your dinner it’s just around the corner. Prepare for an action filled day with adventures.

Winter Activities

In your trip you will have a basic package where three activities are included, Ice climbing, Snowmobile safari and Ice fishing. These three winter activities can be changed for something else if there are interests enough to fill another activity. You can choose between, dog sledding, Parasail, Bivouac training, heliskiing, off-piste, cross-country skiing.

It takes a minimum of five persons on each activity to be able to do it. Some of the winter activities can be changed straight of from the basic package, meanwhile others like Snow- and avalanche training can be arranged after we make you an offer if required.

Fjällbäcken

The beautiful building Fjällbäcken is located just below the tree line 800 meters above Bruksvallarna. Sätern/Fäbodvallen is a timbered building and the timbered guesthouse and sauna were built in 1777. There is also a wooden cot and a störös (a kind of open barbeque building) from beginning of 18^th century.

Gourmet dinners

You will be served 3-course gourmet dinners with primary products from the local area.

Wintertime small groups have their dinners in the main building and bigger groups will have their dinners in the big wooden cot. You will find a fireplace in the cot and in the building we call Säterstugan, you will find a special oven, which makes it very cosy.

Hot bathtubs and Sauna

With a view over mountains and valleys, you jump in the huge wooden outdoor tubs. We fire them up with wood and they reach 35-40 degrees Celsius. We can also offer an outdoor Jacuzzi, to underline your feeling have been taken care of and have a luxurious weekend after a day filled with winter adventures in the wilderness. Just imagine to jump in the Jacuzzi after a long day, relax, enjoy the view and been served a cold beer or maybe a hot Irish coffee.

Worth thinking of before you go:

You can be sure of that Adventure Lovers will look after you when it comes to safety, instructions and relaxation, but you need to think of these:

• Real warm clothes. Don’t only check what temperature it will be during the weekend you will spend with us, you must think about the wind chill, from snowmobiles, skiing and dog sledding.
• Warm boots, which can handle severe cold
• Mitts, is a better choice than gloves if you have cold hands
• Goggles to protect yourself from wind chill when you are on a snowmobile or doing dog sledding.  Goggles are a sure thing for skiers.
• Thermos, it is really nice to have a hot cup of coffee or tea meantime you are waiting for your turn on the ice climbing or on the ice when you are fishing.
• Insurance, make sure you are well covered on your insurance. We have guides on the activities and we are very concerned about your safety, but it is always a good idea to have a well-covered insurance in case of an accident.
